Healthcare
GICAM was established to promote humanitarian programs specialising in hand surgery, orthopaedics, and reconstructive microsurgery in the most disadvantaged regions of Asia, Africa, and South America.
Through surgical procedures and reconstructive hand operations, we significantly improve the quality of lives of children and women living in condition of extreme need.
Our patients are among the poorest of the poor, and without this kind of support, they would have no hope, as they cannot afford any surgical treatment.
Our team of surgeons, anaesthesiologists, nurses, hand therapists, and volunteers work in synergy to restore hand function in people affected by congenital malformations, burns, post-traumatic deformities, and paralysis, making a real difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
