Prof. Marco Lanzetta Bertani, Founder and President of GICAM Foundation, is an internationally renowned hand surgeon and specialist in microsurgery. His expertise and leadership have driven the foundation’s growth and significantly advanced hand surgery practices worldwide. He continues to lead GICAM’s initiatives, bringing care, research, and training to patients and professionals around the globe.
The Board of Directors and the Advisory Committee consist of entrepreneurs and professionals with consolidated experience in the medical, financial and legal sectors, active both in Switzerland and abroad. These members contribute their time and skills to community projects, bringing ideas, experience, and passion that drive the Foundation’s growth and impact.
Our volunteers are essential to the team. Over 250 professionals from Switzerland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Australia, the United States, France, Spain, Belgium, Uganda, and Malawi — including surgeons, anesthetists, therapists, and nurses — dedicate their time, expertise, and professionalism daily to making GICAM’s international missions possible.
